I love that He made the world such a beautiful place with mountains and valleys, glaciers and deserts. I love that He put so much thought into making an assortment of dogs and cats, colourful birds and fish. I love that He created lightning and hail, snowy days and sunshine. And God made people, lots of different kinds of people, many nations, ethnic groups and tribes with diverse traditions and rituals. He gave us a glimpse into the magnificence of creation by letting us create babies who become the most incredible little gifts we could ever imagine. Our Father showed us that He is the lover of our souls by letting us fall in love with that special person, thereby giving us an example of His passion for us. I love that God made so many promises…like His love is unconditional, not dependent on if we will love Him back. I’m floored that all my failures are covered over with a big blanket of forgiveness, so I am free to walk with dignity, honor and power. It’s staggering that He says He’ll give me authority in this lifetime to heal, to overcome every adversity, to decree victory over every enemy that comes against me. I’m amazed by His promise to bless me and to enlarge my territory. He’s saved me from an oncoming traffic accident, prevented me from making a bad investment, whispered in my ear when I needed to leave an unsafe place and showed me the way when I was lost. I love that He once walked me through the door of a difficult boardroom meeting with His arm around my shoulder saying, “Don’t worry, you're with Me”. But what do I love most? I love that He sat with me on the floor of my bedroom when I couldn’t breathe because life had kicked me in the gut and I didn’t know how I would go on. I remember how He healed my broken heart when it was shattered in a million pieces. I love that He holds my hand when I face an unexpected tragedy and wipes my tears with His very own fingers. He has never let me down, not once, not for a second, in any situation. Life, people and events have wounded me, but not Jesus. I'm truly grateful that though I do not know what tomorrow may bring, I do know that He is going to be right there with me. That's what I love most about God.
